This is a group for students at Birkbeck College to meet, discuss, freak out, procrastinate and generally panic about their dissertation topics and everything that goes with them - how to do a literature search, what research methods to use, how to create a good dissertation plan. We also hope to have one or two 'veterans' who have been through and survived the process and can provide tips on tools and techniques. Oh - and we plan to meet up for a few drinks every fortnight or so.

Let's make working or graduate school fun!  I have been a research student in London for two months and I have figured that much that it is difficult to have a social life. It requires a lot of planning and it is a burden on your work. Plus, I love what I am doing and I want to keep at it. This group is for people who want to work on their own stuff  in company, go to library together, take breaks together and help one another with pressures and stress of grad school.
